Zesty Italian Pasta Recipe

  • 1 medium onion, cut into half slices
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans RED GOLD® DICED TOMATOES with BASIL, GARLIC & OREGANO or REDPACK® DICED TOMATOES with BASIL, GARLIC & OREGANO
  • 1 (8 ounce) can RED GOLD® TOMATO SAUCE or REDPACK® TOMATO SAUCE
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (16 ounce) package ditalini or ziti pasta, cooked and drained
  1. In a large skillet cook sausage and onion over medium high heat until meat is no longer pink; drain well.
  2. Add RED GOLD(R) or REDPACK(R) DICED TOMATOES WITH BASIL, GARLIC & OREGANO and RED GOLD(R) or REDPACK(R) TOMATO SAUCE and heat through. Add pasta and cheese and blend together.
