Whole Wheat Banana Waffles Recipe

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup mashed overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Grease the inside of the waffle iron.
  2. Mix all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Whisk milk, bananas, canola oil, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl; stir into flour mixture until batter is moistened with a few lumps.
  3. Spoon about 1/4 cup batter into preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's instructions.
