VELVEETA® Cheesy Baked Grits Recipe

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces VELVEETA®, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Bring water to boil in medium saucepan on medium-high heat. Gradually stir in grits; cook on low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add butter, garlic powder and pepper; stir until butter is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
  3. Beat eggs in small bowl until blended. Add small amount of hot grits; mix well. Gradually add to remaining grits mixture in pan, stirring constantly until blended.
  4. Pour into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with VELVEETA.
  5. Bake 40 min. Let stand 10 min. before serving.
