Vegetable Nuggets Recipe

  • 1 (8 ounce) can cream-style corn
  • 1/8 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 2 cups canola oil for frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or heavy saucepan to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the corn, flour and pepper. Drop balls of the mixture into cornmeal to coat.
  3. Fry the nuggets for about 4 minutes, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, and serve hot.
