Strawberry Jam in a Slow Cooker Recipe

  • 4 pints fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 (1.75 ounce) package powdered fruit pectin
  • 3 cups white sugar
  1. Crush strawberries completely with a potato masher; pour into the crock of a slow cooker.
  2. Pour lemon juice over strawberries.
  3. Sprinkle pectin over strawberries.
  4. Let mixture stand 10 minutes.
  5. Stir sugar through the strawberries.
  6. Cook on Low for 2 hours, stirring twice while it cooks.
  7. Increase heat to High and continue cooking until jam thickens to desired consistency, 2 to 3 hours.
