Stew Recipe

  • 1/2 pound beef stew meat
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 2/3 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup ale
  1. Brown the beef in the butter for 5 minutes, then add carrots, onion, and flour to cook in the beef juices. Stir for 1 minute. Add broth and ale and simmer till tender, about 15 minutes.
