- 1/2 pound beef stew meat
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 2/3 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup ale
- Brown the beef in the butter for 5 minutes, then add carrots, onion, and flour to cook in the beef juices. Stir for 1 minute. Add broth and ale and simmer till tender, about 15 minutes.
