- 1 cup nonfat chicken broth
- 1 1/2 lb broccoli rabe, hollow stems trimmed
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed
- Combine all ingredients with salt and pepper to taste in a large saucepan and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are just tender, about 8 minutes.
