- 1 (7 ounce) can Mexican salsa (such as HerdezĀ®), drained
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons orange juice
- 1/2 navel orange, zested
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Mash drained salsa and butter together in a bowl. Mix in garlic, orange juice, orange zest, thyme, salt, liquid smoke, and pepper.
