Southwest Round Steak Recipe

  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, drained
  • 1 large banana chile pepper, seeded
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 (6 ounce) steaks
  1. Pour the lime juice, peppers, and spices into a blender and puree until chunky. Put the steak in an 8 x 8 inch baking dish, coat the meat with the chile mixture, and bake at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes, or until the steak's juices run clear.
