Quiche Lorraine Recipe

  • 1 frozen prebaked pastry shell
  • 8 slices Safeway SELECT Bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyere cheese
  • 3 O Organics Large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Lucerne Half-and-Half
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  1. In a preheated oven, bake pastry shell according to package directions. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
  2. Set oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
  3. Scatter bacon in pastry shell; sprinkle evenly with cheese. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with half-and-half, salt, and nutmeg; pour over cheese.
  4. Bake until center is set when pan is shaken gently (35 to 40 minutes). Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve warm or at room temperature.
