- 450g/16oz purple sprouting broccoli
- 5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 whole garlic cloves
- pinch dried chilli flakes
- 6 anchovy fillets, chopped
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- ½ lemon, juice only
- toasted ciabatta, to serve
- Steam the broccoli for 5-6 minutes or until tender.
- Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan and add the garlic cloves. Fry the garlic until golden. Carefully remove the garlic and discard.
- Add the chilli flakes and anchovies to the oil and cook until the anchovies break down. Season and add the lemon juice.
- Serve the steamed broccoli with the dressing drizzled over, and a slice of toasted ciabatta each.
