Pork Rites (Taverns) Recipe

  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 hamburger buns
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground pork in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.
  2. Stir ketchup, water, vinegar, brown sugar, dry mustard, and salt into the ground beef; bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
