Parsley Buttered Turnips Recipe

  • 8 small turnips, trimmed and quartered, but not peeled
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the turnips until tender, drain.
  2. Melt the butter in a large heavy skillet. Add the turnips and sugar and cook, tossing, until coated with the butter.
  3. Add the parsley, toss to coat, and serve.
