Pan Pacific Beef Kabobs with Peppers Recipe

  • 6 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 6 tablespoons sweet sherry
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 3 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 large red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1 inch chunks

  1. In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, sherry, soy sauce, green onions, garlic and ginger.
  2. Place steak pieces in a large, resealable plastic bag. Pour in marinade and mix well. Refrigerate for 2 hours, or overnight.
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
  4. Thread beef, peppers and onions onto skewers, alternating beef with every 2 pieces of vegetable.
  5. Place kabobs on hot grill. Cover and cook, turning once until grill marks form on both sides, about 8-10 minutes. Serve.
