Original BAKERS® Chocolate Chunk Cookies Recipe

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (8 ounce) package BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix flour, baking soda and salt until well blended; set aside.
  2. Beat margarine and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until well blended after each addition. Stir in chopped chocolate and walnuts. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake 11 to 12 min. or until lightly browned. Cool 1 min.; remove from baking sheets to wire racks. Cool completely.
