Oriental Rice Recipe

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  1. In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 1-1/2 hours or until heated through.
