- 4 egg yolks
- 2 ounces sugar syrup
- 1 quart beer
- Nutmeg
- Beat the egg yolks until light and lemon-colored, then stir in the sugar syrup. Heat the beer to just under the boiling point and slowly add to the sweetened egg yolks, beating constantly.
- Serve in warmed 8-ounce mugs and grate nutmeg on top of each.
