Nancys Butter Beans Recipe

  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  1. Arrange bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  2. Heat butter beans, bacon, butter, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbling, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
