Mackerel pâté Recipe

  • 1 can mackerel fillets, drained
  • 30g/1oz butter
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ lemon, juice only
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  1. Place all of the ingredients together in a food processor, pulse until smooth and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. To serve, transfer the mackerel mixture to a small serving bowl with toasted bread or crackers on the side.
