- 1 can mackerel fillets, drained
- 30g/1oz butter
- ½ tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- ½ lemon, juice only
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Place all of the ingredients together in a food processor, pulse until smooth and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- To serve, transfer the mackerel mixture to a small serving bowl with toasted bread or crackers on the side.
