Kicked Up Chili Recipe
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 green pepper, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Morton® Hot Salt™, divided
- 1 (16 ounce) can BUSH'S® Chili Beans in sauce
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- Optional Toppings
- Shredded Cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- In large saucepan, saute olive oil, garlic, onion, green pepper and celery until vegetables are tender. Add ground beef and 1-1/2 teaspoons Morton(R) Hot Salt(TM). Cook until ground beef is browned. Drain fat.
- Add Bush's Best(R) chili beans in sauce, diced tomatoes, water, chili powder and remaining 1-1/2 teaspoons Morton(R) Hot Salt(TM). Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with shredded Cheddar cheese and sour cream, if desired.
