- a 1/2-pound piece jícama
- 1/2 English cucumber
- 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
- 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
- a pinch cayenne
- coarse salt to taste
- Peel jícama and seed cucumber. Cut jícama and cucumber into about 2 1/2- by 1/4-inch spears and in a bowl toss with remaining ingredients.
