Italian Strata Recipe

  • 10 (1/2 inch thick) slices Archer Farms™ French loaf
  • 1/2 cup refrigerated basil pesto
  • 2 cups finely shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 cups chopped ham
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen, cut leaf spinach, thawed and squeezed to drain well
  • 1 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 2 cups Archer Farms™ organic milk
  • 8 Archer Farms™ organic eggs
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray 13×9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray. Arrange bread slices in single layer in bottom of dish. Cut cubes from remaining bread slices to fill in empty spaces.
  3. Spread pesto over bread. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese. Layer ham, spinach, bell pepper and remaining cheese over bread. Beat milk and eggs in large bowl until well blended. Pour over layers in dish.
  4. Bake 40 to 50 minutes, or until eggs are set and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
