- 5 heads Tanimura and Antle Sweet Gem™ Gourmet Lettuce
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/8 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves minced fresh garlic
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped shallot or red onion
- 1 teaspoon fresh chopped thyme
- 1/3 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
- Salt
- Fresh pepper
- Cut Tanimura & Antle Sweet Gem(tm) Gourmet Lettuce in half-length wise. Combine olive oil, lemon juice garlic, shallots and thyme, whisk and season to taste with salt and pepper. Baste lettuce generously with vinaigrette on both sides and reserve the balance. Over high heat, place lettuce on grill cut side down, grill for 30-45 seconds. Turn and grill for an additional 10-15 seconds.
- Place Tanimura & Antle Sweet Gem(tm) Gourmet Lettuce per serving cut side up, and drizzle with small amount of vinaigrette. Garnish with crumbled Gorgonzola and serve immediately.
