Graveyard Cake Recipe
- 1/4 cup chocolate-flavored candy melts or coating wafers, melted
- 1 (16 ounce) container ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
- 1 (9 x 13 inch) cake prepared from your favorite flavor cake mix, cooled
- 10 regular or chocolate graham cracker rectangles
- Halloween candy for decorating
- Place sheet of foil on cookie sheet. Spoon melted candy melts into small food-safe plastic bag; cut off one small corner of bag. Squeeze to pipe into two (4- to 5-inch) tree shapes on foil. Refrigerate until set, about 5 minutes.
- Spoon 1/4 cup frosting into small food-safe plastic bag; cut off one small corner and set aside. Frost cake with remaining frosting.
- Build house as pictured, using sharp knife to cut peaked ends from 2 cracker squares and a cracker broken in half lengthwise for sides; stand crackers in cake. Use reserved frosting as 'glue' to attach 2 cracker rectangles for roof and candy to peak of roof.
- Complete the haunted scene, as pictured.
