- 1 potato, sliced into thick chips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp paprika
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 200ml/7fl oz double cream
- 250g/9oz red cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp mustard powder
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
- Place the potato chips onto a baking tray. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the paprika. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Place into the preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes.
- For the fondue
- Heat the double cream in a saucepan. Add the cheese, mustard and cumin and cook until the cheese melts.
- Serve the fondue with the fat chips.
