Fat chips with cheese fondue Recipe

  • 1 potato, sliced into thick chips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 200ml/7fl oz double cream
  • 250g/9oz red cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
  2. Place the potato chips onto a baking tray. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the paprika. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Place into the preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. For the fondue
  5. Heat the double cream in a saucepan. Add the cheese, mustard and cumin and cook until the cheese melts.
  6. Serve the fondue with the fat chips.
