Double Chocolate Pear Sundaes Recipe

  • 1 (14 ounce) can chocolate-flavored sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pears in light syrup, drained reserving syrup
  • 1 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream
  • Mint sprigs (optional)
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and chocolate over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is melted and the sauce is hot. Stir in 2 tablespoons of the reserved pear syrup.
  2. Let the sauce cool slightly before ladling over the ice cream. Spoon the pears over the sundaes. Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
