Curried Cream Cheese Spread (Snaffles Mousse) Recipe

  • 1 (10 1/2-oz) can beef consommé with gelatin
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 small garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • Special equipment: 4 (4- to 6-oz) ramekins
  • Accompaniment: toasts or crackers
  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour through a fine sieve into a 1-quart glass measure, then pour into ramekins.
  2. Chill, covered, until set, about 8 hours. Serve mousse in ramekins.
