- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Robin Hood® All Purpose Flour
- 1 (370 ml) can Carnation® Regular, 2% or Fat-Free Evaporated Milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chicken stock
- 2 ounces bacon or pancetta, chopped
- Prepare Carnation(R) Simple White Sauce by melting butter in medium saucepan, add flour and cook over low heat stirring for 1 minute.
- Whisk in milk and salt. Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until sauce has thickened.
- Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. Stir in chicken stock.
- Cook bacon or pancetta in a skillet, until crisp, about 2-3 minutes. Add to white sauce and stir until combined.
