- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 cups fat free milk
- 2 cups finely chopped, cooked chicken meat
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- In a 3-quart saucepan, heat oil. Whisk in flour and form a paste. Gradually stir in LACTAID(R) Fat Free Milk and continue stirring until thickened.
- Add chicken to white sauce mixture. Add sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder and basil. Mix well and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
