Cranberry Spice Bars Recipe

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package spice cake mix
  • 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Confectioners' sugar (optional)
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, cut butter into dry spice cake mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups, spread rest of mixture on bottom of 13×9-inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, cranberry sauce and eggs. Stir in 1/2 cup reserved mixture. Spread over prepared crust.
  3. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of reserved mixture and pecans. Bake an additional 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar (optional). Cut into bars. Store leftovers tightly covered in refrigerator.
