Chunky Beef Chili Recipe

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds Sutton & Dodge beef chuck cut for stew
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans chili-ready diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can spicy chili beans
  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add beef and cook 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until very brown.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 1 hour, stirring occasionally, or until beef is tender.
  3. Ladle chili into bowls and top with sour cream and shredded Cheddar cheese, if you like.
