BUSHS® Kidney Bean and Tomato Casserole Recipe

  • 1 (21 ounce) can BUSH'S® Dark Red Kidney Beans
  • 1 strip bacon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup canned tomatoes
  • Bread crumbs
  • Butter
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Fry bacon until crisp. Reserve 2 teaspoons bacon drippings.
  3. Drain BUSH'S(R) BEST Dark Red Kidney Beans and put half the beans in a greased baking dish. Top with the crumbled bacon, chopped onion and half the tomatoes. Add remaining beans and tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt, pepper & sugar. Drizzle the bacon drippings over all. Cover with bread crumbs. Dot with butter.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F about 30 minutes until bubbly and brown.
