- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup yellow or white onion, chopped
- 1 (25 ounce) container chili – without beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans (or chili beans)
- 1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can chili (hot)
- 1 (15 ounce) can stewed tomatoes (crushed)
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper
- Cook beef and onions till brown; drain grease.
- While the beef is cooking combine the rest of the ingredients in a big pot (at least 5-qt.) and stir thoroughly. Add beef and onions.
- Cook on low-med. heat (2-3 on scale of 10) for 1 hour, stirring occasionally (every ten minutes).
