Breaded Fried Cauliflower Recipe

  • 1 head cauliflower, cored and cut into small florets
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • oil for frying
  1. Combine cauliflower and lemon juice in a saucepan; add enough water to cover. Cook until just tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and let cool, about 10 minutes.
  2. Pour flour onto a plate.
  3. Beat eggs in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Mix bread crumbs, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  5. Dredge each cauliflower floret in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with bread crumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan. Fry cauliflower until golden brown, 2 to 4 minutes.
