Black Forest Pie Recipe
- 1 (9 inch) baked pie crust
- 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream, whipped
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling, chilled
- Toasted almonds (optional)
- In heavy saucepan, over medium-low heat, melt chocolate with EAGLE BRAND(R). Remove from heat; stir in extract.
- Pour into large bowl; cool or chill thoroughly. Beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream.
- Pour into prepared pie crust. Chill 4 hours or until set. Serve with pie filling. Garnish with almonds (optional). Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
