Beef-and-Brew Stew Recipe

  • 1 1/4 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 fluid ounces your favorite beer
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup frozen sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  1. Brown the beef cubes in the bottom of a heavy nonstick pot. Add the onion and garlic and cook until tender.
  2. Pour in the remaining ingredients and bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
