Baked Penne Chicken Marinara Recipe

  • 1 (16 ounce) package penne pasta
  • 1 (18 ounce) package fully cooked chicken marinara strips cut in half
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup sliced black olives
  • 2 teaspoons basil flakes
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  1. Prepare pasta according to instructions on the package. Drain and return to cooking pot.
  2. Toss chicken and marinara sauce with pasta, olives and basil. Mix in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Transfer to baking dish and top with a layer of mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and parsley flakes.
  4. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
  5. Remove from oven and let sit 5 minutes before serving.
