- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained
- 3 tablespoons Safeway SELECT Capers, drained (reserve brine) and rinsed
- 1 (8 ounce) package Lucerne Light Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Safeway SELECT Verdi Olive Oil
- Chopped green onion tops
- Safeway SELECT Original Crackers
- In a food processor fitted with the metal blade or in a blender, process garlic until minced. Add tuna, 3 tablespoons of the capers, 1 teaspoon brine from capers, cream cheese, lemon juice, and olive oil. Process until smooth.
- Spoon mixture into a crock or serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
- Before serving, garnish top with a ring of extra capers and green onions. Spread on crackers.
